Welcome to the Manatee County Safe Schools on-line library. The site is designed for county teachers and administrators to view and select available materials from our inventory. If you would like to increase your school or classroom's level of prevention or character education, then you have logged on to the right spot. We currently have several programs, both on the elementary and secondary level, dealing with alcohol, tobacco, and other drug prevention, violence prevention, and character education. Many of these programs may be implemented school-wide or serve as curriculum for individual teachers, those in bold italicized print have also been tested and acknowledged as proven effective programs by the Florida DOE. In addition, we have an extensive video list to reinforce any of the prevention curricula or to augment your existing lesson plans. Manatee County Safe Schools also maintains a professional library where educators can choose from a number of books to hone their skills and brush up on variety of subject matter relating to the delivery of your instruction.
