Academics: GPA Weighted 4.7
SAT-Critical Reading 740, Writing 620, Math 680 for a SAT total of 2040*

Accolades: Tessa is not only an excellent student, but an excellent athlete as well. She is Captain of the Southeast High School varsity volleyball team and with her leadership, she and her team won a District Championship. She also coaches a Suncoast Volleyball Club National Travel Team. As an IB student at Southeast, Tessa was was also part of a team that won third place in the Manasota Envirothon.

Tessa also helps plan the annual Volley for the Cure, a game between two high schools where the goal is to raise money for the Susan G. Koman Foundation. She is responsible for finding sponsors, selling concessions, advertising to the community, and selling t-shirts and tickets.

Tessa has volunteered her time with events outside of volleyball. She has tutored students at another high school, helped paint a local Kiwanis Club building, and participated in a Thanksgiving Food Drive at a local community Center. She also worked with the Manatee Arc Organization to help organize and execute a Christmas Party for children and young adults with developmental disabilities.

Accomplishments: Tessa is a member of the National Honor Society and Amnesty International. She is especially involved in the Southeast High School Drama Club. Last year, she served as the Drama Club's Secretary, and is currently the Club's Treasurer.

Aspirations: Tessa will attend Florida State University and major in Chemistry. Her career plans include researching alternative fuel sources.
