Since Manatee County is located in one of the fastest growing regions in the country, there are almost always exciting employment opportunities available with the Manatee County School District.

With more than 5,300 employees currently working for the school district, Manatee County schools can be proud of a long-list of accomplishments, a few of which are listed here:

	Twenty eight of the schools graded in Manatee County received an “A” grade from the state based on student performance on the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) during the 2008-2009 school year.
	All Manatee District elementary schools graded received a grade of “C” or higher during the 2008-2009 school year with 20 out of 34 receiving an “A”.
	Many of our schools maintained their good FCAT scores while 11 improved their school grades during the 2008-2009 school year.
	The twenty eight Manatee District schools receiving an “A” on the FCAT represented an impressive 55% of our schools (28 out of 51).
	The district has 154 teachers that are Nationally Board Certified.
