MANATEE DISTRICT ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS
ARE NOW HOLDING KINDERGARTEN ROUNDUPS
(Bradenton, FL. - March 23, 2012) Parents can register their child for kindergarten for the 2012-2013 school year during the Manatee District's annual "Kindergarten Roundups" at elementary schools across the county. A list of dates and times for Kindergarten Roundups at specific schools will be sent out as an attachment to this release.
Kindergarten for the 2012-2013 school year is available to students who are 5-years old on or before September 1, 2012. To register, parents or guardians are asked to provide the child's birth certificate, a physical examination certificate (within the past 12 months), a Florida Certificate of Immunization and proof of residency.
To prove residency, parents or guardians may provide one of the following: a current electric or water bill showing the address and name of the parent or guardian, a current lease agreement with the name of the parent or guardian, or an official letter from the company providing housing that contains the parent or guardian's name.
Teachers and school staff will be available at the Kindergarten Roundups to answer questions and provide additional information.
