Few Good Gowns
(Bradenton, FL. - March 5, 2012) The Manatee Education Foundation is seeking prom dress donations for its annual Prince Charming and Cinderella Project - which provides free, first-class formal wear and cosmetology services to high school students who need financial assistance to attend their high school proms.
The Prom Dress Drive will go on this week - Monday, March 5th through Friday, March 9th - to collect formal dresses, shoes, jewelry and other accessories for the project. Please make sure that donations are prom appropriate and in good condition.
Donations will be accepted at the Manatee School District´s School Support Center, located at 215 Manatee Avenue West; and at the Tidewell Treasures Thrift Shop, located at 5917 Manatee Avenue West, in Bradenton. Donors who deliver their donations to the Treasures Thrift Shop will receive a 10% off coupon for the shop.
This is the fourth year the Manatee Education Foundation has worked with community partners and agencies to provide these services. Other partners involved in this effort include Manatee Technical Institute; the Junior League of Manatee County; Reinaunce; Something Blue Bridal Boutique; Courtesy Cleaners; and GUTI - the Premiere Beauty and Wellness Academy.
To participate in this project, students must be in good standing in 11th or 12th grade at a Manatee District High School; they must be a participant in the Free and Reduced Lunch program; and they must have a Valid School I.D.
