Answers Back-to-School Questions

(Bradenton, FL. - August 8, 2012) A special Parent Information Phone Line is now available to Manatee District parents who have back-to-school questions.

The phone number for general information is (941) 708-4971; the number for bus transportation is (941) 782-1BUS (782-1287).

The purpose of the Parent Information Phone Line is to answer questions regarding registration, school zones, bus stop locations and times, home education and other questions that often arise at the beginning of a new school year. The Parent Information Phone Line answered thousands of calls last year and this year´s phone bank is expecting another strong surge of calls leading up to the start of school.

The General Parent Information Phone Line will be operational from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., from Tuesday, August 7, 2012 until Thursday, August 23, 2012.

The Transportation Parent Information Phone Line will be operational from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., from Tuesday, August 7, 2012, until Friday, August 17, 2012; and from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday, August 20, 2012, until Wednesday, August 22, 2012.

Manatee District students begin the 2012-2013 school year on Monday, August 20, 2012.
