This site provides factual information for students, parents, and educators concerning drug use, violence, and bullying, as well as what can be done to help reduce or eliminate these problems from our community. Additionally, this site contains information and resources on character education and developing positive interventions for student behavioral and social-emotional issues. School administrators, counselors, and teachers throughout Manatee County can also use this site to view all of the latest prevention curriculum, programs, and videos available in the district's resource library and order them absolutely free of charge.
The office of Safe Schools is also responsible for the development and implementation of several programs which seek to reduce the risk factors associated with drug abuse and violent behavior. From alternative to suspension programs, to curriculum development and policy frameworks, they can all be viewed in full detail simply by clicking on the programs button to the left.
