A Florida native, Bob Gause has been involved in the community and the school district his entire life. Following graduation from Manatee High School, Mr. Gause received an Associate of Arts Degree from Manatee Junior College, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture Degree from the University of Florida. He is a Registered Landscape Architect, a Certified Planner and an ISA Certified Arborist. He is Vice President of Allison Engineering, with over twenty-five years experience helping public and private sector clients develop projects in Florida.

Mr. Gause is currently Chairman of the School Board. Prior to being elected to the School Board in 2006, he served the school district as Chairman of the Palmetto High School Advisory Council and President of the Palmetto High School Athletic Booster Club. His volunteer work for the community also benefited district students while he was a STAR program mentor at King Middle School and a Coach and President of North River American Little League. Mr. Gause has been and continues to be involved in many local organizations that emphasize community involvement, growth, and beautification.

Mr. Gause and his wife, Kris live in Palmetto. They have one son, Chase, who is enrolled at the University of South Florida.
