CONSENT ITEMS - (CONTINUED) Approval of Purchase(s) Bids Over $100,000.00 Approval to use the Pinellas County School Board Bid for Apple Computer Products, MCSD No. 04-0065-BT Revised Approved the purchase of Apple Computer Products utilizing the Pinellas County Bid, to Apple Computer as required, for the period of November 4, 2003 through June 30, 2004, in an amount not to exceed $2,000,000.00. Apple Computer agreed to provide technology products and services under the same terms as the Pinellas County School Board. The expenditures will be charged to Various Technology funds. Contracts and Grants 1. Approved of Elementary School “J” - Agreement Between Owner and Architect/Engineer - WITHDRAWN AND PLACED UNDER NEW BUSINESS “D” 2. Approved of Bayshore Elementary School - Resolution 04-04 - Demolish Houses Located at 2611 Bayshore Gardens Parkway and 2615 Bayshore Gardens Parkway, Bradenton. The single family residences were acquired to provide additional acreage and better visibility for the school. The resolution authorizes staff to raze the houses. (Copy of Resolution can be found in the Supplemental Minute Book.) 3. Approved of Intergovernmental Agreement for Emergency Shelter Facility - Braden River Elementary School - Building 2. This agreement is established to allow the School Board to accept money from Manatee County to upgrade a School Board facility at no cost to the school district. Manatee County has received grant funding of $67,948.00 for this project. (Copy of Agreement can be found in the Supplemental Minute Book.) 4. Approved of Intergovernmental Agreement for Emergency Shelter Facility - Braden River Middle School - Building 2. This agreement is established to allow the School Board to accept money from Manatee County to upgrade a School Board facility at no cost to the school district. Manatee County has received grant funding of $121,775.00 for this project. (Copy of Agreement can be found in the Supplemental Minute Book.) 5. Approved of Lakewood Ranch High School - Interior and Exterior Paint Project - Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) - Agreement between Owner and Construction Manager (NDC Construction Company). The GMP is included in the total project budget of $477,409.72, which includes materials, labor, and miscellaneous project-related costs. The funding source is 2 mil. 6. Approved of Manatee Elementary School - Contract to Purchase Additional Land at 1604 6th Avenue East, Bradenton. This contract allows the School Board to obtain two additional properties consisting of .24+ acres for utilization at Manatee Elementary School. The negotiated cost of the land is $70,000.00. (Copy of Contract can be found in the Supplemental Minute Book.) 7. Approved of Manatee Elementary School - Contract to Purchase Additional Land at 1601 7th Avenue East, Bradenton. This contract allows the School Board to obtain two additional properties consisting of .24+ acres for utilization at Manatee Elementary School. The negotiated cost of the land is $77,000.00. (Copy of Contract can be found in the Supplemental Minute Book.) 8. Approved of Palmetto High School - Florida Power & Light Permanent Utilities Easement. This easement allows Florida Power & Light to access the site, install and maintain power lines at their convenience. (Copy of Easement can be found in the Supplemental Minute Book.) 9. Approved of Contract with All Kinds of Minds for Delivery of Schools Attuned Professional Development Program to McNeal Elementary School in the amount of $25,000.00. All Kinds of Minds will provide materials and deliver 35 hours of training to McNeal staff members from May 31, 2004 through June 4, 2004. The cost will be paid from McNeal Elementary School's Parent Teacher Organization. Approved the Agreement for Medicaid Data Management Partnership Between the School Board of Seminole County and the School Board of Manatee County for the contract period of July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2005. The agreement allows the School Board to join with the School Board of Seminole County for the purpose of Medicaid administrative claiming. By joining with the Medicaid Administrative Claiming System, the expected District expenditure will be less than $2,000.00. |
