FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION STATE BUSINESS PARTNER OF THE YEAR AWARD - MARIANNE LORENTZEN The Florida Department of Education (DOE) has awarded the Bradenton Herald the State Business Partner of the Year Award for 2003-2004. They are being recognized for their participation with the DOE in the printing and distribution of 10,000 copies of The Summer Reading Guide. Mr. Henry Haitz III, Publisher/President of the Bradenton Herald/East Manatee Herald, received a plaque and a round of applause from the audience. RECOGNITION OF STATE FUTURE BUSINESS LEADERS OF AMERICA (FBLA) WINNERS (DOUG WAGNER) April 4 through April 7, 2004, the FBLA State competitions were held in Orlando, Florida. Doug Wagner, Director of Adult, Career and Technical Education, presented school guidance representatives who introduced the first place winning students who were in attendance.
