Darlene Deyo (Braden Crossings area resident) - spoke in opposition to the current Redistricting Plan, and requested that her children be allowed to grandfather in to Braden River Middle School. 6. Theresa Collins (School Advisory Council Chairman of Harllee Middle School) - spoke in support of the Board's redistricting proposal, which would zone more students into Harllee Middle School, to support a viable arts program and to provide other resources necessary for a quality academic program. 17. Brenda Katz (representing the RATPAK) - distributed RATPACK information packet to Board Members and spoke in opposition of the requirement for students to pass the FCAT (Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test) in order to participate in graduation ceremonies. 18. Raphael Allen (member of Manatee County Community Action Team) -reminded the Board that he is still advocating for the building of elementary and middle schools in Central Bradenton. 19. Kelly Warne (Teacher at Oneco Elementary School) - spoke in support of the Board's redistricting proposal, which would zone more students into Harllee Middle School, to support a viable arts program and to provide other resources necessary for a quality academic program. 20. Scot Boice (Principal of Lee Middle School) - thanked the Board for approving the current redistricting plan which reduces Lee's attendance zone, and provides an opportunity for more students to attend the school for the purpose of pursuing an arts program. 21. Dave Miner - expressed skepticism regarding whether or not the current Strategic Leadership Training program is a good use of taxpayer money and community time.
