10. Approved the contract with TeachScape. The cost for the program is $100,000 for 225 participants and cost is allocated in the 2004-05 Staff Development Categorical budget. The online program is a blended design of training that maximizes the use of technology with support that will last throughout the school year in a cohort model.

11. Approved of the Transportation Agreement between the School Board of ManateeCounty and Sports, Leisure & Entertainment RPG d/b/a Parrish Summer Youth Program for School Bus Transportation Services for field trips during the 2004-2005 school year. The program will pay $18.00 per hour each day of service for the salary of the driver and, if the Transportation Department determines that a monitor/aide is necessary, $14.00 per hour for the salary of the school bus monitor/aide. The community youth organization will also pay $1.00 per mile traveled to cover bus-operating expenses.

12. Approved of Renewal of the Transportation Agreement between the School Board of Manatee County and Palmetto Youth Center for School Bus Field Transportation Services for field trips during the 2004-2005 school year. The Center will pay $18.00 per hour each day of service for the salary of the driver and, if the Transportation Department determines that a monitor/aide is necessary, $14.00 per hour for the salary of the school bus monitor/aide. The community youth organization will also pay $1.00 per mile traveled to cover bus-operating expenses.

13. Approved of Renewal of the Transportation Agreement between the School Board of Manatee County and Center Academy for School Bus Transportation Services for field trips for the 2004-2005 school year. The Center Academy will pay $18.00 per hour each day of service for the salary of the driver and, if the Transportation Department determines that a monitor/aide is necessary, $14.00 per hour for the salary of the school bus monitor/aide. The community youth organization will also pay $1.00 per mile traveled to cover bus-operating expenses.

14. Approved of Renewal of the Transportation Agreement between the School Board of Manatee County and Anna Maria Community Center for School Bus Transportation Services for field trips for the 2004-2005 school year. The Anna Maria Community Center will pay $18.00 per hour each day of service for the salary of the driver and, if the Transportation Department determines that a monitor/aide is necessary, $14.00 per hour for the salary of the school bus monitor/aide. The community youth organization will also pay $1.00 per mile traveled to cover bus-operating expenses.

The Center will pay $18.00 per hour each day of service for the salary of the driver and, if the Transportation Department determines that a monitor/aide is necessary, $14.00 per hour for the salary of the school bus monitor/aide. The Manatee County Commissioners will pay $18.00 per hour each day of service for the salary of the driver and, if the Transportation Department determines that a monitor/aide is necessary, $14.00 per hour for the salary of the school bus monitor/aide. The community youth organization will also pay $1.00 per mile traveled to cover bus-operating expenses.

17. Approved of Renewal of the Transportation Agreement between the School Board of Manatee County and Manatee County YMCA for School Bus Transportation Services for field trips for the 2004-2005 school year. The Manatee County YMCA will pay $18.00 per hour each day of service for the salary of the driver and, if the Transportation Department determines that a monitor/aide is necessary, $14.00 per hour for the salary of the school bus monitor/aide. The community youth organization will also pay $1.00 per mile traveled to cover bus-operating expenses.

18. Approved of Renewal of the Transportation Agreement between the School Board of Manatee County and Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida, Inc. for School Bus Transportation Services for field trips for the 2004-2005 school year. The Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida, Inc. will pay $18.00 per hour for each day of service for the salary of the driver and, if the Transportation Department determines that a monitor/aide is necessary, $14.00 per hour for the salary of the school bus monitor/aide. The community youth organization will also pay $1.00 per mile traveled to cover bus-operating expenses.

19. Approved of the agreement between the School Board of Manatee County and The Woods of Manatee Springs for clinical experience for students in health occupation fields at Manatee Technical Institute (MTI) for the 2004-2005 school year. There is no cost to the district over and above the insurance policies already in effect that cover our nursing students, paramedic students, etc.
