Approval to Purchase Scholastic's READ 180 for Manatee and Lakewood Ranch High Schools

Approved to purchase Scholastic's READ 180 for Manatee and Lakewood Ranch High Schools. The cost of the READ 180 program and the professional development to support the teachers of the READ 180 classes is $29,500.00 per license and will be paid from the following sources: Manatee High School (#1) - $10,000.00; Lakewood Ranch High School - $10,000.00; IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) - $20,000.00; District $19,000.00; and Manatee High (#2) - $29,500.00 (for the Ninth Grade Center to be paid from the Small Learning Community Grant allocation to Manatee High School).
