CONSENT ITEMS - Continued Approval of Purchase(s) Bids Over $100,000.00 Construction Services 1. Approved of Bayshore Elementary School - Change Orders 3 and 4. Change Order 3 is a reduction to the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) of $1,468,435.73 for materials purchased under the Direct Materials Purchase program; Change Order 4 is a reduction to the GMP of $88,506.14 for the sales tax savings associated with the Direct Materials Purchase program. Fiscal impact is a deduction of $1,556,941.87 to the previous $12,414,059.00 GMP. 2. Approved of Educational Facilities Impact Fee Refund - John Chasey. The refund was requested by the owners of the property located at 129 51st Street, Holmes Beach, Florida for Educational Facilities Impact Fees. The amount of the refund is $3,400.00, which is the difference in the impact fee between a single family dwelling unit and a duplex, less the administrative fee of $11.00, which is not refundable. 3. Approved of Educational Facilities Impact Fee Refund Number 2 - Lakewood Ranch. Schroeder Manatee Ranch Communities Joint Venture, the developer of Lakewood Ranch (which includes the Development of Regional Impact known as University Lakes), has requested a refund of Educational Facilities Impact Fees paid. The amount of the refund is $217,700.00, which is the impact fee for 71 single-family dwellings and 60 multi-family dwelling units. An administrative fee of $87.50 per dwelling unit is not refundable. 4. Approved of Manatee High School - Ninth Grade Center Phase I, II and III Plans - Construction Documents. There is no fiscal impact for Phase III Plans - Construction Documents. The budget for this project is $350,000.00. The Architect/Engineer is Long & Associates, Inc., and the Construction Manager is NDC Construction Company. 5. Approved of Palmetto High School - Trainable Mentally Handicapped Classroom Addition - Substantial Completion. The Construction Manager is NDC Construction Company; the Architect/Engineer is Harvard Jolly Clees & Toppe Architects. 6. Approval of Robert H. Prine Elementary School - Change Orders 3 and 4. Change Order 3 is a reduction to the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) of $1,473,035.73 for materials purchased under the Direct Materials Purchase program; Change Order 4 is a reduction to the GMP of $88,446.94 for the sales tax savings associated with the Direct Materials Purchase program. Fiscal impact is a deduction of $,561,482.67 to the previous $12,375,062.00 GMP. Finance 1. Approved the request to declare surplus two sets of bleachers (aluminum) located at Blackstone Park and donate to Manatee County. The amount of $3,743.84 in tangible personal property will be removed from the inventory records. 2. Approved the request to declare Portable #918 as surplus and donate to the City of Palmetto.
