Approval of the Revised Reading Coach Job Description

Description

The current Reading Coach job description was developed by the District Reading Initiative Design team, a committee of school and district staff, and approved by Curriculum and Instruction.  The School Board approved the job description on May 17, 2004.

 

The Reading Coach job description is being revised to require:

 

(1) Reading Endorsement or Master's Degree in Reading,

(2) Five years of successful teaching experience, and

(3) Experience in reading curriculum, assessment, and instruction.

 

The Superintendent recommends the approval of the revised Reading Coach job description.



Recommendation

Motion and approval of the revised Reading Coach job description.



Financial Impact

No fiscal impact to the district.
