Approval to Submit, Accept and Expend the $150,000.00 SUCCEED Florida Manufacturing Technology Grant for the 2007-2008 School Year
Manatee Technical Institute’s Machining, Electronics and Welding programs have successfully produced students who are nationally certified or accredited. Manatee Technical Institute would like to continue and update these programs.
The funding received would be used to update equipment, recruit new students, market the program and support students in obtaining MSSC (Manufacturing Skill Standards Council) certification.
The Superintendent recommends approval to submit, accept and expend the $150,000.00 SUCCEED Florida Manufacturing Technology Grant for the 2007-2008 school year.
Motion and approval to submit, accept and expend the $150,000.00 SUCCEED Florida Manufacturing Technology Grant for the 2007-2008 school year.
The School Board of Manatee County would received funds in the amount $150,000.00 for the Manufacturing Technology program at Manatee Technical Institute.

Any person who desires to appeal any decision made by the School Board with respect to any matter considered at the above-mentioned meeting will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which an appeal may be based. School Board meetings are held in accessible locations. Auxiliary aids will be provided, upon written request received at least 48 hours prior to the meeting, to participants with disabilities.
