Approval of the Report of Teachers who are Out-of-Field in Their Subject Area(s) - p.61
The Out-of-Field Plan for Manatee County Schools provides that teachers are notified of their out-of-field status at the point that the current certification that they hold does not meet the required certification for the subject(s) they are teaching. State School Board Rule 6A-1.0503 provides that any out-of-field teacher must be appointed by the school board as being out-of-field after verification that an appropriate certified teacher is not available.
