
Agenda Item #46 Title Approval of the Report of Teachers who are Out-of-Field in Their Subject Area(s) - p.61 Executive Summary The Out-of-Field Plan for Manatee County Schools provides that teachers are notified of their out-of-field status at the point that the current certification that they hold does not meet the required certification for the subject(s) they are teaching. State School Board Rule 6A-1.0503 provides that any out-of-field teacher must be appointed by the school board as being out-of-field after verification that an appropriate certified teacher is not available. The attached list of teachers was appointed by the School Board as out-of-field. These teachers must take a minimum of six semester hours toward certification within the school year.
The Superintendent recommends approval of the report of teachers who are out-of-field in their subject area(s).
