Approval of Bid on Masonry Services, MCSD No. 10-0016-MR - p.27
The successful bidder shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, transportation, technical expertise necessary for consultation, trouble shooting, repair and/or new installation as necessary to perform interior and exterior masonry work, associated demolition, building modifications and renovations as directed. All materials provided and work conducted shall be in accordance with State Requirements for Educational Facilities (SREF), Florida Administrative Code, all local, state and federal regulations and follow O.S.H.A. regulations. All work will be requested on an as-needed basis.
Invitations for bid were submitted to fifteen (15) suppliers. The School District received one (1) responsive bid. The remaining fourteen (14) suppliers did not respond to our invitation for bid. Bids were opened on July 30, 2009.
The bid is recommended for award to Apollo Construction & Engineering, Sun City Center, FL, Florida Document No. J77923.
The Superintendent recommends approval of the bid on masonry services, as required, for the period of September 15, 2009 through September 14, 2010, in an amount not to exceed $35,000.00.

The estimated expenditures for these purchases/services are not to exceed $35,000.00. The requested expenditures will be charged to Local Capital Improvement Millage.
