Approval of Renewal (1) on Aquatic Control Services, MCSD No. 10-0044-MR - p.28

Executive Summary

On March 22, 2010, the Board approved the proposal on aquatic control services. The contract is subject to renewal under the same terms and conditions as the original proposal at the option and agreement of all parties for two (2) additional one (1) year periods.  All vendors have agreed to renew their proposal for the period of March 23, 2011 through March 22, 2012.  The contract has been reviewed and found to be satisfactory under the original bid terms and conditions.

 

The proposal is recommended for award to E Co Consultants, Palmetto, FL, Florida Document No. P01000010907, Rick Richards, Inc., Myakka City, FL, Florida Document No. P96000079536 and Wilson Miller, Sarasota, FL, Florida Document No. 190331.

 

Maintenance of aquatic areas allows the District to remain in compliance with state regulations, and reduces pest infestation into District facilities providing a safe and sanitary environment.

 

The Superintendent recommends approval of renewal (1) of the bid on aquatic control services, as required, for the period of March 23, 2011 through March 22, 2012, in an amount not to exceed $175,000.00.

Motion and approval of renewal (1) of the proposal on aquatic control services as required, for the period of March 23, 2011 through March 22, 2012, in an amount not to exceed $175,000.00.



Financial Impact

The estimated cost to implement this agenda item will not exceed $175,000.00.  The funding source for this annually estimated expenditure is Local Capital Improvement Millage and is included in the Maintenance & Operations Department approved budget.
