Approval of Renewal (2) on the Use of State of Florida Contract on Office Furniture and Files, MCSD No. 06-0119-ML - p.26

Executive Summary

On April 12, 2010, the Board approved the use of the State of Florida Contract No. 425-001-006-1 for office furniture and files. The contract is subject to renewal under the same terms and conditions as the original proposal at the option and agreement of all parties for two (2) additional one (1) year periods.  The State of Florida contracted with fifty-seven (57) manufacturers plus multiple dealers. These vendors have agreed to renew their contract through March 01, 2012. The School District only uses Hon Company plus dealers. Upcoming projects include Myakka Elementary and  Manatee High School.  The contract has been reviewed and found to be satisfactory under the original bid terms and conditions.

 

The Contract is recommended for renewal to Hon, Muscatine, IA, Florida Document No. not required, Freedman’s Office Furniture (dealer), Tampa, Fl, Florida Document No. H14715. 

 

The Superintendent recommends approval of renewal (2) on the Use of State of Florida contract on office furniture and files, March 2, 2011 through March 1, 2012, in an amount not to exceed $350,000.00.

Financial Impact

The estimated cost to implement this agenda item will not exceed $350,000.00.  The funding source for this annually estimated expenditure is Capital Outlay Accounts and is included in the Districts approved budget.
