Executive Summary
The purpose and effect of the amendment is to simplify the process for filing and investigating complaints concerning discrimination and harassment.
On January 11, 2010, the Board approved advertising the proposed amendment to Policy 2.19, and setting a public hearing. On January 13, 2010, the advertisement appeared in The Bradenton Herald, which assures compliance with the provision of section 120.54 (3)(a)1, Florida Statutes (2009). In addition, the policy has been posted on the district website.
The Superintendent recommends approval of adopting proposed amendment to Policy 2.19, Discrimination and Harassment Prohibited: Complaints and Grievance Procedures.
