Approval of Bid on Roof Replacement - Portable Buildings, MCSD No. 09-0061-MR - pg. 41

Executive Summary

This bid is for roof replacement on School District owned portable buildings on a cost per square foot basis, permitting and inspection fees, and a per unit cost for additional work which may be needed.  The committee recommends awarding to the three lowest vendors for items one and two.

 

Invitations for bid were submitted to sixty one (61) suppliers.  The School District received five (5) responsive bids, two (2) non-responsive and two (2) no bids. The remaining fifty two (52) suppliers did not respond to our invitation for bid.  Bids were opened on January 15, 2009.

 

The bid is recommended for award to Durable Roofing Company, Florida Document No.F08000002561, Bradenton, FL, Prattco, Florida Document No. P04000111139, Lutz, FL, and Sutter Roofing Company of Florida, Florida Document No. 629939, Sarasota, FL.

 

The Superintendent recommends approval of the bid on roof replacement - portable buildings, for the period of February 10, 2009 through February 9, 2010, in an amount not to exceed $100,000.00.

Motion and approval of the bid on roof replacement - portable buildings, for the period of February 10, 2009 through February 9, 2010, in an amount not to exceed $100,000.00.

 



Financial Impact

The estimated expenditure for these purchases/services not to exceed $100,000.00.  The requested expenditures will be charged to  41003773756.4689.7400 and 42503763756.4689.7400.
