
Agenda Item #11 Title American Cancer Society-Relay For Life Executive Summary Eighteen
Manatee County schools participated in the 2011 Relay for Life fundraiser,
which helped raise over $50,000.00 for the American Cancer Society. The
American Cancer Society would like to thank Superintendent Dr. Tim McGonegal
and all the schools for their participation, and to recognize the top three
fundraising schools. The
three Relay for Life school teams who raised the most money are: Lakewood Ranch High School, $8,153.00; Nolan
Middle School, $6319.00; and Braden River High School, $5,165.00. Angela Essig, Director of Secondary Schools, will introduce Robyn Faucy, Unit Executive Director of the American Cancer Society, to recognize the Principals from Lakewood Ranch High school, Nolan Middle School and Braden River High School and their Relay for Life Team Leaders. Recommendation No action is required by the Board.
