On January 24, 2011, the Board approved the bid on bleacher inspections and certifications. The contract is subject to renewal under the same terms and conditions as the original proposal at the option and agreement of all parties for two (2) additional one (1) year periods.  Four (4) vendors have agreed to renew their bid for the period of February 1, 2012 through January 31, 2013, one (1) vendor did not respond to our request.  The contract has been reviewed and found to be satisfactory under the original bid terms and conditions.

The bid is recommended for renewal to Bureau Veritas North America, Inc., Florida Document No. F03000001638, Fort Myers, FL, Nova Engineering & Environmental formally Capri Engineering, LLC, Florida Document No. M07000004372, Tampa, FL, Delta Engineering and Inspection, Inc., Florida Document No. P99000083671, Sarasota, FL, and GFA International, Inc., Florida Document No. P98000089761, Orlando, FL.

Use of this bid assists the District in providing safe environments where students may learn, dream and achieve.

The Superintendent recommends approval of renewal (2) of the bid on bleacher inspections and certifications, as required, for the period of February 1, 2012 through January 31, 2013, in an amount not to exceed $75,000.00.

The estimated cost to implement this agenda item will not exceed $75,000.00.  The funding source for this annually estimated expenditure is Local Capital Improvement Millage and is included in the Maintenance and Operations Department approved budget.
