Approval of Request for Proposal on Public Address Systems, Accessories and Services MCSD No. 07-0090-SM

Description

This request for proposal is for the parts and installation of public address systems on an as needed replacement basis with the District. The repair or replacement of the public address systems are for indoor systems and outdoor sports facilities that have aged beyond repair.

 

The request for proposal was submitted to (56) suppliers.  The School District received (1) responsive proposal, and (6) statement of no proposal. The remaining (49) suppliers did not respond to our request for proposal.  Proposals were opened on Thursday, May 31, 2007.

 

The request for proposal on Public Address System, Accessories and Services is recommended for award to Alarm & Communication Systems, Inc., Florida Document No.H18542.

 

The Superintendent recommends approval of the Request for Proposal on Public Address System, Accessories and Services, for the period of July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2010, in an amount not to exceed $75,000.00 per year.

Motion and approval of Request for Proposal on Public Address System, Accessories and Services for the period of July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2010, in an amount not to exceed $75,000.00 per year.



Financial Impact

The estimated expenditure for these purchases/services is $75,000.00 per year.  The requested expenditures will be charged to Technology Information and Services/Communication and Technical System Support public address system replacement budget.
