Agenda Item #31

Title
Approval of New Agreements Between the School Board of Manatee County and Various Providers for Clinical Experience for Manatee Technical Institute (MTI) Students for the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 School Years - p.40

Executive Summary

The School Board has, over the years, contracted with several providers for clinical experience and/or on-the-job training for district students.

In order for the students to participate in this type of clinical or on-the-job experience, it is necessary for each of the participating offices to sign an agreement with the school district.  The opportunity to receive this type of clinical experience is a great advantage to our students. Not only do they obtain valuable hands-on learning experience, but also, placements result in permanent jobs for the students after they finish their training.
