
Agenda Item #28 Title Approval of the Use of Pasco County School District Bid for USDA Commodity Turkey Processing, MCSD No. 10-0005-SM - p.37 Executive Summary The Pasco County School District issued a bid for the purchase of USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) Commodity Turkey Processing, bid No. 09-112-DR. Commodity processing allows schools to send USDA donated foods to processors who have been approved by the state or the USDA. Commodity processing allows schools to better utilize USDA donated food by converting them into usable food products. The vendor has agreed to extend the pricing to the State Board Rule 6A-1.012(5) allows school boards to purchase from existing bids of other public entities upon agreement by the awarded vendor(s).
