The school district and the Manatee County government have collaborated on the design of a fiber optic conduit system to be shared by both parties.  The interlocal agreement defines the rules and responsibilities of both entities in the implementation of the project.

The Superintendent recommends the approval of the interlocal agreement to create a joint Manatee County fiber optic conduit system.

Costs for the various stages of the conduit installation project will be determined after the county and School District Instructional Technology staff accepts a vendor responding to the project request for proposal.  Contracts for segments of the system will be brought to the Board for approval.
