Public Hearing for Consideration of Adopting an Amendment to Policy 4.7, Electronics Communications Usage
Executive Summary
The purpose of this policy is to clearly define what is expected of all staff when they are using the electronic systems provided by the school district. The policy addresses inappropriate and illegal issues and it includes references to emerging technologies accessible through the district network.
On September 27, 2010, the Board approved advertising the proposed amendment to Policy 4.7, and setting a public hearing. On September 29, 2010, the advertisement appeared in The Bradenton Herald, which assures compliance with the provision of section 120.54 (3)(a)1, Florida Statutes (2009). In addition, the policy has been posted on the district website.
The Superintendent recommends approval of adopting an amendment to Policy 4.7, Electronics Communications Usage.
