Approval of the Selection of a Firm to Assist in the 2012 Superintendent Search
On September 10, 2012, Superintendent Dr. Tim McGonegal notified the Board of his resignation effective immediately.
On September 18, 2012 a Board Workshop was held. Dr. Wayne Blanton, Executive Director of Florida School Boards Association (FSBA), outlined the process in conducting a superintendent search for Manatee County School District. He offered the services of FSBA to coordinate all aspects of the search.
A copy of Dr. Blanton's contract is attached for your review.
Motion and approval of the Agreement between the Florida School Boards Association, Inc., and the School Board of Manatee County to conduct the 2012 superintendent search.
The cost of this agreement will not exceed $8,000.00, and will be paid from the School Board approved budget.
