Consideration and Approval of Audit Committee Recommendation Regarding a Law Firm to Engage an External Auditor
Executive Summary
On September 10, 2012, the School Board assigned the Audit Committee the task of determining a process to engage an external auditor.
Jim Toomey, Chairman of the Audit Committee, will update the Board on the work of the Audit Committee regarding this assignment. He will advise the Board of the Committee’s recommended action.
The School Board will discuss their preference for a law firm to engage an external auditor and define the scope of the firm’s responsibility.
Recommendation
Motion and approval of the law firm and scope of responsibility for engaging an external auditor.
Financial Impact
The financial impact will be dependent on which law firm is selected by the School Board.
