Agenda Item #18 Title Approval of Dual Enrollment Articulation Agreement with St. Petersburg College and the School Board of Manatee County for the 2012-2013 School Year - p.27 Executive Summary In an effort to create a seamless career development system, educational institutions have been encouraged to develop articulation agreements at all feasible levels. The degree of articulation depends upon the area of study involved, requires an in-depth analysis of the curriculum and agreements by all parties as to the credibility of the preliminary course of study. The articulation agreements that are the core of the program afford students the opportunity to earn college or postsecondary credit for courses that are completed as part of their high school program of study. This agreement allows students greater access to postsecondary education through a mutually beneficial partnership between St. Petersburg College and the School District of Manatee County, supporting and aligning with the EdVantage core value of lifelong learning and the strategic objective of creating partnerships.
