Summative reports covering the end-of-year analyses of teacher and student performance on history assessment will be prepared and submitted at the end of each grant year to both the United States Department of Education and the School District of Manatee County. This project reflects our strategic objective of improving our curriculum to better meet the needs of students. The study of our past is essential to understand actions and reactions of individuals who are responsible for their choices and actions in the present. Our teachers participate in the project to increase their knowledge and benefit our students. This exemplifies the core value of “lifelong learning is essential for individuals and communities to flourish.” Both Teaching American History grants are one-hundred percent federally funded. There is no matching amount from the district.
