The Public Charter School Grant Program Planning, Design, and Implementation provides funds that will help startup charter schools to provide a high quality education for Florida’s students.  The funds are available to charters that are scheduled to open for the 2012-2013 school year or charter schools that have been operating for less than one year and have not previously received a project award under the Public Charter School Grant Program.  The charter must serve students in grades K-8.

This grant will ensure that all children will have an opportunity for a quality learning experience.

The Superintendent recommends approval to apply for and expend the Public Charter School Grant Program Planning, Design, and Implementation (2012-2015) for Manatee Charter School.

Manatee Charter School has the ability to receive up to the total requested of $350,000 through this grant application.
