During the third grade school year, students continued their study on the water cycle from the Harcourt textbook. After a lesson was presented by laser disc on the different types of precipitation, it became apparent that most of the students did not have the experience of other types of precipitation then that of rain and perhaps some hail. They became interested in discovering and researching all the types of precipitation. This lesson teaches the tasks to help the students create a HyperStudio stack that shows facts about what is the water cycle and types of precipitation, such as snow, rain, hail, and sleet.

These fourth grade students used print and electronic media to research information about an USA monument. They will use AppleWorks to graphically organize their facts. Each fact sheet will include a picture and factual information about the monument.
