Welcome to our “new” and former Samoset  families!  Also, a warm welcome to our new assistant principal, Mike Kelley. We’re off to a great start for our new school year. Samoset has growing pains! We now have 600 students and have added a new kindergarten, third grade and first/second grade classroom! Mr. Kelley and I are very excited about parent participation this year! We are having wonderful turn-outs at SAC this year. Parents are volunteering and helping at our school, asking great questions and sharing ideas. Remember, we are always looking for more volunteers!

Please talk to your child every day about how important their education is. Ask them to tell you one important thing they learned in reading and math. We will be having Family Literacy Nights and Math Nights during the school year, so be looking for those!  Another important thing to talk with your children about is making good choices for their future. If they work very hard now, they will be great students in middle school, high school and college.

Schedule some time with your child’s teacher, if you haven’t already, to talk about how your child is doing.  Mr. Kelley and I are always here to help with questions, ideas, or concerns that you have, as well. Remember, our door is always open!

¡Bienvenidos a nuestras "nuevas" y conosidas familias en Samoset! También, una bienvenida cariñosa a nuestro nuevo ayudante de la directora, Mike Kelley. Tuvimos un gran principio para nuestro nuevo año escolar. ¡El Samoset tiene dolores del crecimiento! Ahora tenemos a 600 estudiantes y hemos añadido un nuevo salón de kinder, tercer grado y  el salón de primero/segundo grado!

¡Sr. Kelley y yo estamos muy emocionados sobre la participación de los padres este año! Tenemos maravillosas asistencias en las reuniones de SAC(reuniones de padres) este año. Los padres se ofrecen y ayudan en nuestra escuela, haciendo buenas preguntas y compartiendo ideas. ¡Recuerde, siempre estamos buscando a más voluntarios!
Por favor diríjasse a su niño cada día sobre la importancia que tiene su educación. Pídales que le explicen una cosa importante que ellos aprendieron en lectura y matemáticas cada dia.

¡Tendremos Noches de Alfabetismo de Familia y Noches de Matemáticas durante el año escolar, estar atentos a los avisos! Otra cosa importante de hablar con sus niños es de hacer buenas decisiones para su futuro. Si ellos se esfuerzen ahora, ellos serán grandes estudiantes en la escuela secundaria y el colegio.
Haga una cita con el profesor de su niño, si todavía no lo ha hecho ya, para hablar de como va su niño. Sr. Kelley y yo siempre estamos para ayudar les con preguntas, ideas, o preocupaciones que usted tenga. ¡Recuerde, nuestra puerta está siempre abierta!
