HOLA!
I grew up in a small farming town in
upstate New York,
where I met my first Spanish teacher, Senora Freer,
and fell in love with the culture, people, language
- everything! I really enjoyed the different culture
and being able to speak another language!
In college, I was originally an English major, but something
was lacking. My heart just wasn't into it, and I missed
learning Spanish! In college I had the amazing experience
of living, traveling, going to school and working in
Ecuador. There I held an internship working with babies
with malnutrition, alongside their families. I think
about them every day! I also went to college at La universidad
de espiritu santo en Guayaquil.
Recently, I had the experience of traveling to Korea
to teach SAT preparation, and English language reading
and writing skills to international students, and a
100 level classic literature course to middle school
students.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my three
nephews, going to the beach, shopping, cooking new things,
photography, and sewing. I am also interested in learning
another language in the near future!
