Bayshore High School National Honor Society

The purpose of the National Honor Society is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in the students of secondary schools.

Students are invited to join on the basis of these qualities:
Scholarship, Character, Leadership, and Service.

Remember: Bright Futures Academic Scholar requires 100 hours of service, Medallion requires 75 hours of service and Gold Seal requires 30 hours of service.  Bring blue community service form available at the Guidance Desk when you tutor to have the activity approved.

Benefits of Membership
NHS is the premiere nationally recognized Honor Society. (The invitations students may recieve in the mail are usually sent by "vanity presses.")
Members are encouraged to list membership in NHS as an achievement on college and scholarship applications.
