Pirate-of-the Day

Rachel Stotler - Pirate Artist

An outstanding Pirate artist, Rachel, goes far with her creativity.  She is also in the top 25 for the
Heart and Soul contest, and over the summer she attended a program called Realize Bradenton. 
She has paintings featured in the Art Gallery of Anna Maria, and she has received a merit award
for creating a poster in the book Alas, Babylon.  Rachel has taken four consecutive years of Art
at the River, and is currently enrolled in the pilot program for A.P. Art through the State of Florida. 
Her favorite expression in Art is done through pencil and oil paint.  She has a website to sell her
best pieces of Art. We are so proud of our outstanding Pirate; keep up the good work!

Junior Dance Clinic - 2008

The junior dance clinic is upon us once again.  If you are or know of someone who is elementary or
middle school aged and likes to dance, please print and turn in the registration form attached.  This
is an opportunity to learn a fun dance (one for elementary and one for middle) on Saturday,
January 14th and perform it at a Varsity basketball game, Friday, January 27th.

This is your last chance to get a yearbook for $75.00!  
Come to Room 739 before or after school or buy your yearbook during lunch.  
After this week, they will be $90.00 until we run out of books.

Baseball tryouts will be held on Monday, January 16 at 9:00 am. All paperwork
must be on file with the Athletic Trainer in order to participate in tryouts.

If you would like to join the competitive Braden River Girls Tennis Team,
tryouts will be Jan. 16, 2012 at 9:00 am on the tennis courts. Please be
on time and if you have any questions see Coach Toole in room 202C.

Princeton Review - ACT Course

We are very pleased to announce that the Princeton Review, a leader in test
preparation, has partnered with Braden River High School to offer an ACT course to
help prepare students for the April 14th, 2012 ACT administration.

The course will be held on the Braden River High School
campus and will be taught by a Princeton Review instructor.
