Band Champions Going to Dayton, Ohio

Kris Carrier and Patrick McEnerney are both juniors at BRHS and members of the Braden River band program.
They perform in the Marching Band, Wind Ensemble and Advanced Jazz Band. This past fall, they auditioned
and were selected for the Brahma Winter Percussion Ensemble from USF. The ensemble is comprised of a
drumline and front ensemble. Brahma is composed of mostly college students; Kris and Patrick are some of
the few high school students.

The group performs in the Florida Federation of Colorguard Circuit and Winter Guard International.
Patrick marches the snare drum, and Kris marches the bass drum. They are looking forward to
traveling to Dayton, Ohio to compete in the WGI World Finals April 14^th. Prior to their final
performance, the Brahma Winter Percussion Ensemble will compete locally on March 19^th
at Lakewood Ranch High School at 4:00 PM.

TABE Test Coming

MTI will be on campus administering the TABE Test on Wednesday, March 16th.
Any student who plans to attend MTI in the near future must take the TABE Test.
This will be the last time we offer this test on campus for the 2010-2011 school
year. Please sign up in the Career and Academic Center, Room 611 no later
than Tuesday, March 15th. If you have any questions, please contact:
Mrs. Gionfriddo or Ms. Kennedy.

Buckle Up - It's the Law

We'll be having a special campaign on campus this month
to remind everyone to always wear their seat belts.

If you would like to not have an expensive reminder from those folks
with the blue lights on their cars you might want to read this.

Miss and Mr. BRHS 2011-2012

Attention all those interested in running for the
2011-2012 Mr. And Miss Braden River High School:

There will be a mandatory meeting on Wednesday, March 30th at 2:30
in the Media Center regarding the rules and regulations of being a part
of this pageant event. The pageant is scheduled for Thursday April 21st
at 7:00 pm. Applications will be handed out at this meeting so please
make sure you attend. We are looking for all grades to participate as
we will crown a representative from each class to be the royal court
of Mr. and Miss BRHS.
