Sarah Falls - Pirate Scholar

Congratulations to Sarah Falls for receiving the Manatee County Gator Club Scholarship
and the American Association of University Women’s Eleanor Harger Burgess
Scholarship for $2,000. She will be attending the University of Florida in the fall
and will major in Communication Sciences and Disorders in order to become a
Speech-Language Pathologist. We wish Sarah the best of success in
her college studies as she heads to Gainesville!

There will be an informational senior parent night on Wednesday,
May 9th at 6:00 pm in the auditorium. Various graduation
related items will be discussed.

2012 Prom May 12th 7:00 - 11:00 pm.

Prom tickets are $35.00 for a senior at
BRHS and $50.00 any other ticket.

Only seniors or juniors can buy prom tickets,
they are allowed to buy only one guest ticket.

Dress Code:
Girls: Must have a dress that is at least fingertip length
and the slit of the dress, can not be above fingertip length.

Boys: Must wear slacks, tie, and a jacket or vest.

Girls or Boys can receive $10.00 off their
prom ticket, if they donate a prom dress.

The BRHS Performing Arts Department is presenting a
special dinner and concert celebration on Saturday, May 5th.

The BRHS Marching Band of Pirates is searching for people with a
passion for performing to join the 2013 Colorguard Program. Open House
dates are May 1st & 3rd from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Band Room.
Formal Auditions are Friday May 4th at 5:00 pm. Skills needed for
the audition will be taught over the three day Open House. No
prior dance or spinning experience is necessary.

Junior League Manatee

This is a FANTASTIC opportunity for high school sophomores
(Junior 2012-2013) to participate in a county wide LEADERSHIP
program. Think: Golden Herald Award for Juniors. This is an
authentic learning opportunity and great for college resumes.
