American Red Cross has several summer opportunities for community service
that might interest High School students. These opportunities are available in
the Lakewood Ranch area as well as in west Bradenton, so students can
choose those most convenient.

In particular we have a week long Disaster Camp - I've attached a flyer.
This experience would be great for those considering a career in the
health occupations or military or emergency management or first
responders fields.

We also offer opportunities for teens aged 15 and up to become certified
Red Cross instructors and to teach first aid and disaster preparedness to
elementary aged students - flyer attached. This opportunity is perfect for
those who might be interested in teaching or in the health fields.

For more information students should contact American Red Cross at
941-792-8686  or email
[ mailto:tappd@manateeredcross.org ]tappd@manateeredcross.org
or online at [ http://www.facebook.com/manateeredcrossyouth ]
