Brandi Ricker wins scholarship

Our own Brandi Ricker won a $2,000.00 cash scholarship from Kallins, Little, Delgado and Estigarribia Law firm.
Several students submitted their scholarship application and 10 winners were announced. The Law Firm held
a banquet at IMG Country Club in Bradenton on Wednesday May 4th. Brandi should be congratulated on her
academic and community service accomplishments. She is a star among the seniors in Manatee County.

Seniors - Urgent

The online deadline for ordering a cap and gown is May 20th at www.gradproinc.com.  
Orders placed after May 20th are not guaranteed for delivery in time for graduation 
AND the senior must travel to Ft. Myers to order AND pick up the gown.

TRACK will be held June 5th in Palmetto.

There will be a special session of the Teaching Road Awareness and Consequences to Kids 
workshop held at the Andersen Race Park in Palmetto June 5th - 9:30 am till 4:00 pm. 
This FREE training session is presented by the Safe Teen Driver organization.

Chinese Teacher to Join the Pirate Crewe

As part of our focus on global cultures BRHS will offer a class in learning Chinese next year.
To give our students the very best opportunity to learn the language a teacher from China
will be joining the faculty here in Pirate country. We need to find a family
that will sponsor her and invite her to live with them in their home.

Yearbooks will be handed out 
on the following dates:

Seniors:  Wednesday, May 18th at the Senior Picnic.

At the signing party on Thursday, May 19th for those who purchase tickets.

ALL other yearbooks will be distributed starting Monday, May 23rd.

There will be a Yearbook Signing Party on Thursday, May 19th.

Get tickets during lunch Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.  
Tickets are $3.00 for all students except Seniors.  
Seniors get in for $1.00.  Cash only.  
Students who do not attend the signing party will have 
to wait until May 23rd to get their yearbooks.

Class of 2012 Senior Pictures:  
Sign up in the mornings for Senior Portraits in Room 739.  
The cost is $20.00, cash only.

Students who do not sign up for Senior Portraits by 
next Wednesday might not be in next year's yearbook.
