Mrs. Anya Kuehn

Mrs. Kuehn is very happy to be a Pirate. She is new to the district, but not new to teaching;
this will be her 5^th year as a Reading teacher in Florida. Before that, she had taught
English to foreign students overseas and later worked for Nielsen Media Research
in Tampa putting together TV ratings for national broadcast networks.

She grew up in Warsaw, Poland, and she has also lived in London (UK), Germany,
and New Jersey. She speaks Polish, German, French, and also a little Russian.

Mrs. Kuehn has a Master’s Degree in English as well as Reading and ESOL Endorsements.
She constantly tries to keep up with reading research to make her teaching effective and
relevant for her students. She loves books and other people’s stories, and she hopes
to share her passion for reading and learning here at Braden River High School.

Boys and Girls Cross Country is practicing now.  Practice begins at 3:00 pm  Monday - Friday, 
no practice Wednesdays.  Meet at the track and have your own water bottle.  
Athletes MUST have all paperwork in before they can practice with us.  
Please stop by room 201 or 602 for any further information.

Code of Student Conduct for 2010-2011
The code of Student Conduct has just been published. Click here for

Dress Code Update
The dress code for all students is basically the same as last year with the main change relating 
to tank tops with dresses falling under the interpretation.  Please read the entire dress code to 
ensure your son or daughter is in compliance.   If you have any questions, please contact the 
school for clarifications before wearing or purchasing any apparel.

"d. Tank tops are allowed only with an over shirt or an undershirt with sleeves. Blouses
and tops must cover the entire front and back, and be long enough to tuck inside the
waistband. All undergarments must be covered. No sheer (see-through) shirts are to
be worn unless tank tops with at least two inch straps are worn underneath. This also
 includes the top of dresses, which simply means no sun-type dresses with straps may 
be worn unless an undershirt is worn."
