Braden River High School's Elizabeth Garcia Wins First Place in the Nation.  
"The Chapter Team Written Competition is a very difficult one and in my 32 years of teaching
I have never had a person win this award. This is a very tough competition as six members
of each team must qualify to even get to the Top Ten Finalist. After it is all said and done
only one person can say they are number one first place winner in the country."

Wendy's® is looking for the next class of remarkable students who excel in 
academics, athletics, and community involvement. Celebrating its 17th year, 
the 2010 Wendy's High School Heisman™ award application process 
is underway. Now through Oct. 3, 2010, graduating seniors can apply at
 http://www.wendysheisman.com. If five or more students from your school 
apply, you will be entered into a drawing to win $500 for your school!
To be eligible, a student must have maintained at least a "B" grade 
point average, participate in one of 27 sports officially 
sanctioned by the National Federation of State High School 
Associations, and demonstrate active involvement in his or her community.
Winners receive: 
Recognition during ESPN's national telecast of the college 
Heisman Memorial Trophy presentation in New York City 

A Wendy's High School Heisman trophy and Heisman patch 

$10,000 for their High School
