Annalise "Urkelette" Cook

A big Pirate thank you to Annalise Urkelette for her outstanding Pirate Spirit.
She was kind enough to model the latest in Urkelware fashion to help set
the pace for Steve Urkel Day back at the River. We can't wait to see the
rest of the Urkel clan strut their stuff for this big event.

HOMECOMING DANCE
Any pirate student planning on attending the
homecoming dance should remember the following:

Saturday, Oct. 16, from 7:00 - 11:00 pm in our gym

Pre-dance tickets are $20.00 and all tickets at the door are $25.00

All students and guests must have a picture ID

A student may bring one guest that must arrive at the same time

Be safe, follow all school rules, and have a great time.

Would you like to choose the songs that you dance 
to at the Homecoming Dance on Saturday night?
Then we have the website for you, go to brhssongrequest.com 
and request the songs that you want to hear.

Football Tickets on Sale
We will be selling tickets for Friday nights homecoming game during lunch 
on Thursday. All tickets are $6. Please try to bring exact change.

Attention students: 

The PSAT will be given this Wednesday, October 13th.

All students who are taking the PSAT 
will report to the cafeteria promptly at 7:45 for "brunch".

Breakfast items may be purchased or you may bring something from home to eat.  

You will be released from the cafeteria at 8:15 to your testing locations.  

All 9th and 11th graders will test in the Media Center.

If you are in the 10th grade, please check with your 
English teacher for where you should report.

Testing will take place during 3rd and 5th periods.

At the 11:05 bell, you will be released to your 7th period.  

Wednesday is a normal half-day; all students will be released at 12:30.

Brandon Harvey - Aviation Scholar

Congratulations to Brandon Harvey, our first senior to turn in his college acceptance letter.
Brandon will be attending Embry Riddle University in Prescott, Arizona to study aviation
and to get his certification and formal license as a professional helicopter pilot.

If you would like to be listed on our Senior Success page just give Mrs. Zeris in
Student Sevices a copy of your letter of acceptance from the school or branch
of service you received. Please also include any scholarship dollar amount
you have been awarded as we want recognize that honor too.

Please remember that Wednesday is a regular 
modified Wednesday with release time at 12:30.  
The district calendar originally had Wednesday 
as a full day, but it was incorrect.

Attention All Pirates:

We would like to know of any of our
former Pirates who did or who are
serving in the military in Iraq or in
Afghanistan. Please contact Mrs.
Mitzi Mann if you can help us.

We are always on the lookout for good news about our BRHS Pirates.
If you have a Pirate group that you would like on our Pirate-of-the-Day
page please send a close up high resolution photo of the group or
activity and a related caption of approximately 100 words that
explains who, what, where, when, and how your group did it's

Boy's soccer tryouts

Boy's soccer tryouts start Oct. 18th-Oct. 20th at 2:45 in Pirate Stadium.
All participants should have tennis shoes, cleats, shin guards and all
necessary paperwork turned in order to participate. If you have
any questions or need help you can stop by room 607.

Yearbooks will be on sale during Homecoming
week before school in Room 739 and during
lunch. The cost is $75.00. Hurry, after
this week the price goes up to $90.00.

Get yours before October 15th
when the price will go up again.
