Admission to the IB Program

Admission to Southeast High School’s IB program begins in the fall of eighth grade. A student must complete and turn in the following:

ATTENTION JOHNSON MIDDLE SCHOOL MYP STUDENTS:
The application for Johnson MYP is different and must be turned into Mrs. Starkweather, IB Coordinator, at Johnson Middle School. Please contact her at (941) 741-3344 x2013 or starkwel@manateeschools.net for the correct application or click for Johnson IB form. Do not send Johnson IB forms directly to Southeast; turn in completed application to Mrs. Starkweather.
copies of her/his final 6th and 7th grade report cards as well as the latest 8th grade report card
FCAT scores (or students enrolled in private or out-of-state schools may submit national test scores)
response to why you would like to participate in the IB program and why you think you would succeed in an academic setting such as the International Baccalaureate provides. (Click for details.)

IB Parent Alliance

Join the IB Parent Alliance. Our mission is to provide information, support, and encouragement to students, teachers, and each other in order to create a strong sense of community at our school. This group communicates by email and meets in the media center on the third Wednesday of each school year month at 7:00 p.m.
