IB Mission Statement

The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.

These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.

At Southeast High School, the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program is filled with a diverse group of students who are eager to learn and teachers who love to teach. Students who complete the IB diploma program are fully prepared for college, often receive lucrative offers of financial aid based on their participation, and are frequently granted college credit. Southeast IB students can also qualify for the Florida Academic or Medallion Florida Bright Futures Scholarship.

If you are interested in the IB program or are
currently an IB student/parent of an IB student and
you have any questions, feel free to contact
Daniel Bradshaw, IB Coordinator at
bradshad@manateeschools.net
or 941.741.3366, Ext. 2024.
