The Middle School program is comprised of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders from the district middle schools. The classes have a teacher to student ratio of 1:15, which allows for individualized academic and behavioral attention. To further increase our effectiveness, students are grouped according to their abilities - not solely by their age or grade level. Therefore, each class is totally heterogeneous.
From 7:45 to 2:20, students study English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Physical Education, and Personal Development. Our program is one of the few which requires most students to have two periods of Language Arts each academic day. Students advanced through a "level system" of promotions leading them to a successful integration to their regular school, on track to school completion and grade promotion.
