FOCUS Grade Book Access
FOCUS Grade Book Access
The FOCUS Parent Portal is Manatee County’s online grade book viewer that allows parents to view their student’s grades online. To view this program, ensure you have Firefox as a web browser on your home computer. Next, have your email address, the student’s date of birth, and student ID number before you go online to the following website:
http://www.manateeschools.net/parents.html
From here, select “Click Here for Parent Portal Grades & Attendance Access Instructions”. This will generate instructions for you to request access to the program. Enter the parent’s name and all other requested information. The last step is to print the “Parent Portal Access Authorization” form. This form must be returned to the school by fax, email attachment, mail, or delivery to Mrs. Ciccone, Attendance Manager of R. Dan Nolan Middle School. Her contact information is available under “Faculty and Staff” on this website.
Remember, the county will not turn on the website until November 28th and you will not have access until after we receive your form. Please be patient as we have to manually activate your account in every student’s file before you have access to grade information. This should be completed within 3 days of submitting your paperwork but not before November 28th.
Once you are activated, please click the link below to access the Parent Portal.

This is a new program and the teachers have only been using it since the beginning of this school year. Teachers will be using codes such as ‘NG” for no grade entered, “Z” for missing work that may still be turned in, and “*” for assignments that are excused from being completed. Many teachers usually update their grades every 2 weeks, so do not be surprised if an assignment is not posted online as soon as it is received.
If you have specific questions about your student’s grades or an assignment, the Portal makes it simple to email the teacher. We encourage you to view your student’s grades frequently to ensure they are making progress in each course.
